All that glitters is not GOLD

As the art director and graphic designer for this shoot, the team and I sought to visually contrast the opulence of gold with a deeper sense of skepticism and inquiry. Navy blue was chosen as the dominant set color to enhance the gold’s vibrancy while evoking a feeling of sophistication and depth, mirroring the project’s intent to question superficial allure.

For the text in the video, Modernist Milk and Futura were selected to complement the theme. Modernist Milk, with its sharp, contemporary lines, added a sleek elegance, while Futura, a timeless sans-serif, reinforced clarity and modernity. Together, these fonts balanced luxury with critique.

Through these design choices, the visuals worked in harmony with the narrative, inviting audiences to look beyond the glitter and question the truth behind the gold in skincare.
